Adoption Stories: Scott and Holly Sanchez

Todd Gaudin • January 15, 2019

Our entire adoption story is such a beautiful blessing. We are so thankful that Gaudin Law Group was part of that blessing.

In 2017, we were contacted by our son’s birth mother approximately three months before he was born. As we began to move forward with our “adoption to-do list” we knew how important it was to find a knowledgeable and caring attorney to navigate us through the journey. After speaking to several friends that utilized Gaudin Law Group for their adoption process, we quickly contacted Todd Gaudin.

Our experience was surprisingly pleasant (as we all know how stressful the adoption process can be). His team went over everything with us and helped us understand what was expected before and after the birth of our son.

We knew that God had placed us with Gaudin Law Group when at our first meeting, Todd asked if we minded if he and his staff could pray over us. We held hands as he lifted our family and unborn son up in prayer. We still get chills thinking about that moment.

The weeks and months leading up to our son’s birth flew by. The team at Gaudin Law Group were there for us every step of the way. They were so compassionate with our birth mother and made sure her needs were met. They truly cared about her. It was such a beautiful relationship between all those involved.

Even though our adoption process has concluded, we have formed a forever friendship with the team at Gaudin Law Group. If a friend or family member approaches us about our journey with them, we are quick to suggest they schedule a meeting.

If God places a second adoption on our hearts, we will be contacting Gaudin Law Group, no questions asked.

We want to let the entire team at Gaudin Law Group know how much they mean to our family. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts. You helped make our dreams of being parents a beautiful journey.

Scott, Holly and Bennett Sanchez

Ask for References: The best way to find a good attorney is by asking for a reference from someone you know. Friends and family can provide referrals to attorneys with whom they’ve had positive experiences. Other attorneys, who may not practice in the specific area you need help with, are also great sources for recommendations. Occasionally (25-45% unscientifically), expectant mothers who first favored adoption decide to parent. Her legitimate choice can emotionally crush prospective adoptive parents (= PAP), more or less, depending on its timing. One of our PAP recently experienced this pain. After getting home from the hospital where she gave birth to a baby girl, a mother who [...] The post Can Anything Positive Come From a Disrupted Adoptive Placement? appeared first on Gaudin Law Group.

Our state’s and country’s law stiffly protects the right of a parent (a biological or adoptive mother or father) to custody (the authority to make most decisions and accept responsibility, for a minor) of his or her child. It’s likely the most secure right you enjoy as a US citizen. But this right can be [...] The post How Does a Non Parent Get Legal Custody? appeared first on Gaudin Law Group.

The #FreeBritney movement is producing one of the top trending hash tags based on Britney Spears' controversial Conservatorship case. As a birth mom, I hate adoption advertising. As an adoption professional , I hate adoption advertising. I hate the idea of “targeted marketing” and paid Google ads.
